Mobile Experience
Puretracks™ Mobile Edition for BlackBerry® is designed to provide a seamless download experience, while on the go. In this section, you will discover some of the main features to get started.
Registration & Log In
New users will need to create an account with the Puretracks™ Mobile Music Store. Registration is a hassle-free process: a valid e-mail address and password is all that is required.
If you are returning user, simply enter your e-mail and password at log-in screen.
Account Settings
As a registered user, you can modify your account preferences to reset your password, choose a download destination for your music files, or clear it all to start over. Account Settings is accessible through the main menu.
Browse
Browse option is located in the main menu and provides a simple way to browse the content in our store.
When you select the browse menu option, please choose from one of the available options:
- Browse by Artist: Simply select the first letter of the artist name you are looking for.
- Browse by Genre: Provides you eleven genre categories. Select the one that interests you to view all artists within this genre.
Search
You can search for music in three different ways by selecting the Search option from the main menu.
- Search by Artist: By entering an artist name in the search box. On the results page, simply select the artist name you are looking for to display all albums by this artist. If you are not sure about spelling, enter the first letter of the artist name. An alphabetically sorted list will be displayed. Select the album that interests you to view the available tracks.
- Search by Track: Enter a track name and select submit. Please ensure your spelling is correct. If not, Puretracks™ Mobile Search Engine will return the closest match to your request.
- Search by Album: Enter an album name and select submit. The search engine will return the closest match to your request.
Purchasing Tracks
When you see a track you would like to download, ensure the track name is highlighted and select using your trackball.
Once selected, you will be directed to a confirmation page with information about your download Please select "Proceed" button.
You will now need to enter your promotional Serial and PIN number. If you have a promotional card, this is located at the back of your card. You can also purchase an e-Card online using your desktop computer, where Serial/PIN number will be e-mailed to you.
Once you complete entering your Serial and PIN, select "Submit".
Downloading Tracks
On the download page, you will see the name of the track along with information relating to media type and file size. Select the "Download Button" to proceed.
Your download will now start with a progress bar indicating the status of your download at the bottom of the screen.
Playing Your Media
At the end of your download, you will see a notification screen indicating download completion. This screen will include where your track is located on your BlackBerry® device.
To check your default download directory, you can select "Account Settings" from the main menu and then highlight "Download Directory" to view or modify your settings.
To enjoy your music, click on "Play Now" and your track will launch either externally in the BlackBerry® Media Player or within the Puretracks™ Mobile Music Store. This option is configured in Account Settings / Other Settings. If configured internal playback, you can use the BlackBerry® key to stop, start and pause your music.
